Chiip is an innovative mobile application designed and developed by Albiorix Technology. The main purpose of the app was to revolutionize digital payments by using digital coins. It allows users to make payments using digital coins like Gold, Silver, and Platinum. Registered users can buy digital coins like Gold, Silver, and Platinum coins from the app. This unique payment method was invented to create a cashless economy as an alternative to traditional currency.

Chiip is not an ordinary mobile application. It allows registered users to invite friends, make payments on their behalf, and even allows them to gift coins to persons in their contact lists. With these unique features, it becomes the most engaging and interactive payment gateway in the city. For new users, they will receive complimentary coins upon sign in. They can use these coins to make the payments at the registered businesses in their areas. One of the most amazing features of the Chiip is that it allows you to make the payment on behalf of your friends. It is not just another payment platform, it is a community driven digital currency to boost the cashless economy.

Not only users, but businesses can also benefit from the Chiip mobile payment application. Businesses can enjoy increased customer engagement by offering exclusive discounts to the app users. The app is extremely safe for making payments as it is powered by Stripe payment gateway. There is an interactive map service that will help users to find businesses accepting paying via Chiip application.

Client Requirement

When the client contacted us for a unique mobile payment app, we were delighted. The client required a mobile application that would allow users to buy virtual coins and make payment using those coins. Our client wanted a mobile app that would remove the need for cash on the go. Here are the key requirements from the client:

  • Digital Wallet System: The client required a safe, secure, and user-friendly wallet to buy and store coins. In this wallet, the client can buy and store virtual gold, silver, and platinum coins.
  • Secure Payment Gateway: The client asked us to integrate a secure payment gateway. The client emphasized the use of the Stripe payment gateway to ensure the safe and smooth payment experience.
  • Business Registration Module:  As this mobile app is for businesses also, the client requires a merchant module where he can register, manage transactions, and accept coins received as payment.
  • Interactive Map Integration: To help the end users easily find the registered businesses in their surrounding that accept coins, the client requested for map integration in the app.
  • Smart Sharing & Gifting: The client asked us to add a novel feature that allows users to share coins, gift coins, and pay on behalf of their friends in their contact list.

A map was integrated into the application to show the list of registered businesses that accept Chiip as a mode of payment. This amazing feature of Chiip allows the end-user to share and gift the coins to persons on their contact list. It also allows them to pay on behalf of their friends. The coins can be used to make pre-payments for a meal or drinks at the registered businesses.

Exclusive Offers and Customer Engagement

This feature in the Chiip was meant to attract new users and retain existing users. With the help of this feature, customers were notified about special discounts and promotions in their surroundings. It can send personalized notifications to keep users updated on the latest deals and rewards.

The Business Challenge

The Chiip is a mobile payment application with a unique set of features; therefore, we had to face a unique set of challenges at the time of development. As this app is intended to make payments via virtual digital coins, the first thing that we had to ensure was a safe and secure wallet system. After the wallet system, we had to integrate a smooth and seamless payment method. Below are some of the key challenges that we faced at the time of development of this amazing mobile payment application:

  • Implementing a Secure & Scalable Payment System: It was really challenging to ensure highly secure transactions while integrating Stripe. Our primary goal was to protect users’ financial data and avoid any sort of fraudulent transactions while ensuring smooth payment processing without any delays.
  • Interactive Map Optimization for Real-Time Business Discovery: To make it easy for users to find the registered businesses in their surroundings, we had to integrate an interactive map system. We had to display real-time data, which required efficient data fetching and geolocation services. For better real-time results, we optimized the map’s responsiveness in areas with limited connectivity.
  • Seamless Business Registration & Management: We had to add a feature that allows businesses to register to the Chiip application and manage their profiles individually. Along with the business registration and profile management, we had to allow businesses to accept and manage Chiip coins. We build a robust admin panel with role-based access and an intuitive user interface to simplify this.
  • Smart Sharing & Pre-Payment Functionality: One of the app’s core functionalities was to accept pre-pay on behalf of friends. We had to integrate custom transaction handling with verification mechanisms to enable this functionality. It was challenging to build a secure and intuitive flow to make sure that payments were processed correctly and redeemed without issues. 

We skillfully overcome these challenges and build a powerful, secure, and user-friendly mobile payment solution for our clients. This application is designed and developed to promote a cashless economy and enhance convenience for both customers and businesses.
